Chinese Mill Orders Danieli SBQ Bloom Caster
01/17/2020 - Danieli has been chosen to install a new, technologically advanced 5-strand bloom caster at China’s Chengde Jianlong Special Steel Co. Ltd.
In a statement, Danieli said the 12-m radius caster will produce 210 mm and 400 mm rounds in special bar quality grades.
It will make use of Danieli Q-EMS technology to ensure top-quality blooms on all grades, the company reported. This technology enables the caster to regulate current/frequency for the highest internal quality while automatically positioning the final stirrer along the radius.
