Eddie Kane Steel Opens Chicago and Los Angeles Facilities

Spring Lake, NJ, November 2, 2009 -- Eddie Kane Steel Products, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of two additional locations in the Chicago and Los Angeles areas. The opening of these sales, distribution, and processing centers will enable the company to continue its plan of growth in the carbon and alloy steel market. “The opening of Eddie Kane Steel’s Chicago and Los Angeles facilities have been made possible by what I believe is the best management team in the business. We added two experienced and energetic people to lead these new markets for us and I could not be more proud of the company’s entire management and support staff as there is not a more passionate and dedicated team out there. Nobody will out work us,” said Augustine F.X. (Gus) Kane, President of Eddie Kane Steel Products, Inc. Mr. Kane added, “As proof of our adherence to our mission statement, our managers treat everyone with respect, from our biggest to our smallest customer, all of our vendors, and our very own mechanics. All managers treat their co-workers and everyone in the industry the way they wish to be treated. That’s the proper way to treat people and that’s what we do.” Reflecting on market conditions, Mr. Kane remarked, “Although the steel industry is known for high and low economic cycles, these last 12 months have been brutal; nevertheless, Eddie Kane Steel has been able to weather the storm and stay focused on its goals. The addition of the two new facilities at this time shows our strength and commitment.” Eddie Kane Steel Products was founded in January 2000 as a carbon and alloy steel distributor. The company opened its first value-added processing facility in Masury, Ohio, in 2005 as a growth plan to increase product value through processing and improved services. With these two new facilities added in 2009, Eddie Kane Steel Products now has sales, distribution, and processing centers in Masury, Ohio; Hertford County, North Carolina; Chicago; and Los Angeles. The processing capabilities within the company include high-definition plasma and oxy-fuel flame cutting, shearing, bending, Blanchard grinding, heat treating, and light machining, all of which enable the company to support its very valuable and diverse customer base. The company’s corporate office is in Sea Girt, New Jersey, with additional sales offices in Florida and New Jersey.
