ISRA Parsytec Delivers Surface QC Systems for New Lines at China Steel

ISRA Parsytec has developed surface inspection solutions for three new production facilities of China Steel Corp. (CSC).
 
The three new production lines equipped with ISRA Parsytec's inspection technologies include a continuous annealing line (CAL), coupled pickling tandem line (PLTCM) and a galvanizing line (CGL).
 
Because of China Steel’s requirement for high quality surface characteristics, the heat galvanizing line was equipped with a Dual SensorTM. The uniqueness of this solution lies in the combination of line scan and matrix cameras, as well as the use of both diffuse and direct illumination sources. Each light source has a different effect: diffuse light is optimal for the recognition of low-contrast defects, while direct light can make even the smallest defects visible. Using the Dual Sensor results in quicker, more precise recognition of all relevant defects as compared with previous technologies, thus helping to more precisely monitor the quality of produced materials.
