JSW Posts 69% Growth in Crude Steel Production
03/09/2010 - JSW Steel Ltd. reported crude steel production of 502,000 tonnes for February 2010 compared to 297,000 tonnes in the corresponding month last fiscal year, up 69%.
JSW Steel Ltd. reported crude steel production of 502,000 tonnes for February 2010 compared to 297,000 tonnes in the corresponding month last fiscal year, up 69%.
The company achieved 5.42 million tonnes of crude steel production cumulatively up to February 2010 in the current fiscal year, a 61% increase over the corresponding period of last year.
Rolled flat products showed growth of 17%, with 299,000 tonnes produced in February 2010 vs. 257,000 tonnes last February. Rolled long products are up 227%—96,000 tonnes compared to last year’s 29,000 tonnes.
