Metso Appoints New Leadership
04/02/2026 - Metso Corp. announced it has appointed Jonathan Allen as its chief growth officer, succeeding Claudia Genin, effective 1 May 2026.
The company said with his new position, Allen will be responsible for strategy, mergers and acquisitions, AI, data and analytics, sustainability, safety, quality, communications and public affairs, marketing and brand, and corporate procurement. He will be a member of the leadership team and report to president and chief executive officer Sami Takaluoma.
“Jonathan’s extensive experience at Metso, a deep understanding of our industry and his proven leadership in business strategy execution and growth make him exceptionally well suited to lead our Business Growth function. I am confident that, under his guidance, we will continue to advance our ‘We go beyond.’ strategy and further strengthen Metso’s growth and success,” said Takaluoma.
Allen joined the company in 2005 and most recently held the role of senior vice president of the grinding, bulk, pyro and smelting business line along with being a part of the services business leadership team. In his over 20 years with the company, he’s held multiple leadership positions in both France and the U.S., having earned a B.A. in mechanical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, Pa., USA.
