NLMK Recognized as Best Russian Exporter
06/18/2009 - The Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade recognizes Novolipetsk Steel as ‘Best Exporter in Industry’ as part of the 2008 Best Russian Exporters competition.
Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK) has been recognized as “Best Exporter in Industry” by the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry and Trade as part of the 2008 Best Russian Exporters competition.
Held among companies from 17 main industries, the 2008 Best Russian Exporter competition was conducted as part of the State support program for industrial products export.
The RF Ministry of Industry and Trade selected the winners based on an assessment of documents submitted by the companies and indices of consolidated export reports. Participants were assessed in categories including Best Russian Exporter in Industry; Best Russian Exporter in Industry to CIS countries; and Most Dynamically Progressing Russian Exporter in Industry.
NLMK’s export of products manufactured at its main site in Lipetsk accounted for USD 4.9 billion (including CIS countries) in 2008. The company exported nine types of metal products from its main production site at Lipetsk to over 50 countries around the world. All data refers to the performance in 2008.
