Pomini Tenova to Supply Roll Shop for Jindal Steel Plate Mill
07/27/2009 - Pomini Tenova to supply roll shop equipment for Jindal Steel and Power’s new five-meter wide plate mill in Angul, which has an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes.
Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), India, has placed an order with Pomini Tenova to supply roll shop equipment for their facility in Angul, a city in the state of Orissa.
The roll shop will serve Jindal’s new five-meter wide plate mill, which has an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tonnes.
Pomini Tenova will supply a combination CNC roll grinding machine, combination de-chocking machine, and a combination chock tilter for the new roll shop as well as engineering for other roll shop equipment. The equipment will be capable of handling a maximum roll weight of more than 200 tonnes with a maximum chock weight of 45 tonnes.
This installation brings the number of Pomini Tenova Roll Grinders sold in the Indian market to 22; 14 of those 22 have been supplied since January 2007.
