Posco Chairman Awarded Jeong-Do Management Award
12/30/2009 - Posco Chairman Joon-yang Chung receives the Best CEO Award at the 2009 Korea Jeong-Do Management Awards sponsored by Korea Economy Daily and hosted by the Korea Business Institute.
Chairman Joon-yang Chung was awarded the Best CEO Award at the 2009 Korea Jeong-Do Management Awards sponsored by Korea Economy Daily and hosted by the Korea Business Institute on December 9.
The Korea Jeong-Do Management Awards select and award trusted and respected CEOs and companies each year based on their transparent corporate management, strict corporate ethics, and social contribution. Posco says that Chung received the award based on his successful execution of these criteria.
In judging for this year’s Best CEO Award, Chung—who was inaugurated as the CEO last February—was highly reviewed for his announcement of the three key management philosophies of open management, environmental management, and creative management.

Various programs including funding and consulting programs to help the success of Posco family companies and outsourcing partners contributed in the award evaluations.
