Posco Donates Books to Overseas Korean Students
12/14/2009 - Posco recently donated books worth 25 million won to Pohang International School in Zhangjiagang, China. The school, established thanks to a donation from Posco, was completed in August and opened in September of this year.
Posco recently donated books worth 25 million won to Pohang International School in Zhangjiagang, China.
Some 200 people attended the donation ceremony, including Senior Executive Vice President Chung Keel-sou, around 30 employees at ZPSS (Zhangjiagang Pohang Stainless Steel), 30 government officials including the mayor of Zhangjiagang, and 90 students and teachers.
The books cater to local students as well as to Korean expatriates’ children at the international school. Posco expects the students to benefit from Korean books and DVDs on Korean history and culture.
”Posco is extremely proud of the school. We are very thankful for the Zhangjiagang Municipal Government for helping us establish the school. We hope you will enjoy the books,” said Keel-sou.
