Posco Employees Present Research at HMnS 2011
06/02/2011 - Six Posco researchers delivered presentations at the recent 1st International Conference on High Manganese Steels (HMnS 2011), hosted by the Steel Research Institute of Yonsei University and co-sponsored by Posco and Hyundai Steel.
The 1st International Conference on High Manganese Steels (HMnS 2011), held from May 15 to 18 and attended by more than 250 participants, was hosted by the Steel Research Institute of Yonsei University and co-sponsored by Posco and Hyundai Steel.
Posco Chief Technology Officer and Senior Executive Vice President Kwon Oh-joon gave a presentation titled “Development of High Performance High Manganese Steels TWIP Steels in Posco.”
On behalf of Posco, 11 researchers attended the event, including Posco Technical Research Laboratories Vice President Chin Kwang-geun of the TWIP Steel Research Project and Senior Researcher Kwak Jai-hyun.
Six Posco researchers delivered presentations regarding research results on sheet metals, TWIP steel, and surface treatment.
Other guests, including Professor D.K. Matlock from the U.S., Professor W. Bleck of Germany, and Dr. Kaneaki of Japan, gave presentations on the development status of TWIP steel and attributes of high manganese steel.
