Posco Holds Tech Exchange with Severstal
07/20/2010 - Posco recently held a technical exchange program with Severstal at Posco’s Pohang Works. The companies are building ties that include talks on commodity-related cooperation and a series of joint ventures in the Americas and Eastern Europe.
Posco recently held a technical exchange program with Severstal at Posco’s Pohang Works.
Posco is currently building ties with Severstal—the largest steelmaker in Russia and twelfth largest in the world—that include talks on commodity-related cooperation and a series of joint ventures in the Americas and Eastern Europe.
Posco expects the program to help strengthen the relationship between the two companies, paving the way for more mutual projects in the future.
Severstal workers and executives took a tour around various units of the steel mill, such as the PR center and Steelmaking Department, during their visit.
Posco notes that it also had a similar tech-exchange program with Taiyuan Iron & Steel, China’s largest stainless steelmaker, to intensify mutual cooperation.
