Posco Hosts Technical Exchange Meeting with ArcelorMittal

The Steelmaking Department of Posco’s Gwangyang Steel Works recently held the two-day 2011 ArcelorMittal-Posco Technical Exchange Meeting.
The meeting highlighted key issues including energy conservation, byproduct recycling, continuous casting productivity, and slab quality enhancement technologies. Participants also visited Posco’s Technical Research Laboratories and the Steelmaking Department to discuss technology applications.
For Gwangyang Steel Works, the meeting provided a meaningful opportunity to examine the feasibility of applying ArcelorMittal`s technologies. The company said the Gwangyang Steel Works’ Steelmaking Department will continue its efforts to provide effective outcomes for the annual event.
