Posco-ICPC recently hosted an event to promote cross-cultural understanding between Korean and Indian colleagues, with all 82 employees of the company gathering at a resort in the Pondicherry region, southern Chennai.
The company notes that, partially because of its short history, its Korean and Indian employees, as well as production and office workers, have not had the opportunity to interact much with each other—thus, the idea for an “ice-breaking event.”
The employees enjoyed various sports and recreational events at the resort, such as volleyball, yoga, swimming, a treasure hunt, and talent contest. The company expects that enhanced communication between the employees will give them a higher level of job satisfaction.
ICPC plans to make the two-day program a recurring event to enhance communication.
