Posco Maharashtra CGL Begins Training Program

Posco Maharashtra CGL (Continuous Galvanizing Line) employees visited Gwangyang Steel Mill to attend a training course designed to enhance work skills and to witness Posco’s growth potential.

Twenty-three employees, including 17 drivers, four employees from the utility department, and two from the finishing line, joined the training program at the Galvanizing Division. The course represents Posco’s initiative to promote overseas operations. The Galvanizing Division designed the session to train human resources at India’s auto steel sheet production base.

The course focuses on in-service training for employees in key jobs, with the main goals to transfer operational skills, understand Posco’s corporate history and spirit, as well as enhance quality/safety awareness to stabilize India’s CGL and auto steel sheet operations.

The eight-week course started on May 2 and ends on June 23. The first three weeks focus on theoretical training, raising understanding of the business background and facilities at India’s CGL. In week four, trainees experience QSS activities, and from weeks five to eight, employees will join the CGL processing at the Galvanizing Department at Gwangyang Steel Works.
