Rautaruukki Opens New Sales Office in Kazakhstan
07/29/2008 - Rautaruukki has opened a new sales office in Kazakhstan, which becomes the 25th country in which the company has operations.
Rautaruukki has opened a new sales office in Kazakhstan, bringing the number of countries in which it has operations to 25.
Expansion of its sales network into Kazakhstan will enable Ruukki to shorten delivery times while improving the quality of its customer service. Expansion of its business reach is an important milestone for Ruukki, bringing the company closer to its strategic intent of becoming Europe’s leading metal-based solutions provider to customers in construction and in the lifting, handling and transportation industry.
“The dynamic Kazakhstan market is interesting and our new sales office there brings us within even closer reach of our customers,” said Saku Sipola, President of Ruukki Construction. “Expanding the sales network eastwards further supports Ruukki’s strategy of strengthening its position in CIS countries and in the Central Asian construction market.”
Ruukki said that Kazakhstan’s construction market, which is showing strong growth, is estimated to be worth around EUR 8 billion a year, or about the same as the combined construction market of the Baltic states.
