Ruukki Metals Ends Service Center Employee Negotiations

Ruukki Metals recently concluded employer-employee negotiations related to the company’s steel service centers.
The company had been holding the employee-employer negotiations in support of it work to streamline and reorganize its service centre operations. Ruukki held the negotiations at its units in Järvenpää and Naantali in Finland, and in Halmstad in Sweden.
Possible relocation and pension solutions are still being studied for the 18 persons affected by job loss as a result of the negotiations. The company had originally estimated that 15 to 20 persons would be affected.
The service centers in Järvenpää, Naantali and Halmstad employ a total of 318 people.
