Ruukki Supplies Cargotec Project in Poland

Cargotec's new production facilities in Poland will utilize Ruukki's steel structures. The delivery includes production and installation of steel frames for three buildings, two of which will house production facilities and the other an office building.

The new production site, to be built in northwest Poland's Stargard Szczecinski, will serve Cargotec's customers in the cargo handling industry.

The steel frames are being produced at Ruukki's Oborniki factory in Poland. Deliveries were to start in late August, with the last ones scheduled for November.

"Our experiences of Ruukki's quality products and services, as well as the price-quality ratio, formed a key factor in our choice of Ruukki. Naturally, a production capacity ensuring ability to meet the timetable requirements of this project was important to us as well," said Cargotec Vice President Harri Ojala.

"Ruukki is devoted to serving international customers throughout Europe. As in this case, our strength lies in combining effective local production in Poland and customer service close to the user in Finland," said Senior Vice President Jouni Metsämäki, Ruukki Construction.

Ruukki has delivered components and systems for material handling equipment to Cargotec in the past.
