Designed for a rolling speed of 36 meters per second and a spooling capacity of 80 tonnes per hour, the spooler system is capable of producing spools with a maximum weight of 3 tonnes.
Simac’s scope of supply included a water cooling section, shear, looper, loop distributor, spooler, and discharge facilities, tying machines that strap the spools at four points, and spool transport facilities. Simac also provided electrical equipment and automation as well as the ancillary facilities.
