SSAB Announces New Head of Strip Products Division
06/09/2008 - SSAB announces the appointment of anew Head of the company’s Strip Products Division, as well as the appointment of the Division’s current Head to serve as President of the MEFOS research institute in Luleå.
SSAB announced the appointment of Martin Lindqvist as the new Head of SSAB’s Strip Products Division. Martin Lindqvist, who currently serves as SSAB’s CFO, will assume his new position on August 1, 2008.
“Martin is a strong force in the changing process that is taking place at SSAB and has very skillfully developed the company’s finance and treasury function,” said SSAB’s CEO Olof Faxander. “The solid leadership qualities he has showed equip him with what is needed to take the Strip Products Division to the next level.”
The company also announced that Göran Carlsson has been appointed President of the MEFOS research institute in Luleå. Carlsson, who currently serves as Head of the Strip Products Division, will assume his new role August 1.
“Göran has been very highly appreciated during all of his years in SSAB,” said Faxander. “With his breadth of knowledge, he has contributed greatly to SSAB’s development and I wish to thank him for all he has done for the company, and to wish him success in his new position.”
The company appointed Marco Wirén as temporary CFO from August 1, and has begun the process of recruiting the most suitable successor to Martin Lindqvist.
