ArcelorMittal Accepts PEAMCoal Offer
26 October 2011 - ArcelorMittal provided notice to Peabody Energy that following its acceptance of PEAMCoal Pty Ltd.’s offer for Macarthur Coal Ltd., it has terminated the Co-Operation and Contribution Agreement between the two companies. ArcelorMittal will remain a shareholder in PEAMCoal until the termination arrangements are completed in approximately 90 days.
ArcelorMittal Ostrava Completes Installation of Deduster System
25 October 2011 - ArcelorMittal Ostrava has completed the installation of a new deduster system at its sinter plant three months before the scheduled date. The investment will cut dust emissions from the Sinter Plant North to less than 20 mg/m3 (from the present 50 mg/m3).

September World Crude Steel Production Dips Slightly vs. August
24 October 2011 - World crude steel production for the 64 countries reporting to the World Steel Association stood at an estimated 123.57 million tonnes for September 2011, 0.8% lower than the 124.59 million tonnes reported for the previous month (August 2011) and 9.7% higher in comparison with September 2010.
