Stelco has hired Casey Equipment as Exclusive Sales Agent for the sale of a 148-inch Mesta plate mill.

The mill, which is located at Stelco’s Hamilton facility in Hamilton, Ont., has been idled since April 2003.

Casey will perform sales-related tasks including equipment identification, marketing, customer inspection and price negotiation. Casey has created a unique website featuring the plate mill, and will continue to update the site as needed.

Founded in 1961, Casey Equipment Corp., Pittsburgh, Pa., is a leading provider of used and refurbished steel mill equipment. The company recently sold plate mills from the former Gulf States Steel and Geneva Steel facilities.
