Tenova Takraf to Supply Reclaimer for Vale’s Ore Operations in Guinea

VBG recently signed a contract in Belo Horizonte with Tenova TAKRAF to supply a reclaimer with a nominal capacity of 6,000 tonnes/hour, a design capacity of 7,200 tonnes/hour and a 40-meter boom.
 
The contract covers all basic and detailed engineering, FOB supply of all structural, mechanical, electrical and control components, supervision of erection, commissioning, operating assistance and on-site personnel training.
 
Vale (CVRD) has obtained a concession to mine iron ore in Simandou (Guinea), where it plans to invest in plant and infrastructure. Vale has established VBG, a joint venture with the South African mining company BSGR, to handle the new initiative.
