Tenova to Supply Push-Pull Pickle Line for Intfor

INTFOR SA has awarded a contract to Tenova’s Strip Processing Business Unit to supply a new push-pickling line and acid regeneration plant in Romania. The contract will be carried out through Tenova’s Austrian Tenova Key Technologies and the newly established Tenova Multiform in India.

Owned by Profiland Group, INTFOR is based in the industrial city of Galati near the fluvial port on the River Danube. Profiland’s final products are mainly for the architectural and construction industry, including cold roll-formed longitudinal welded tubes, cold roll-formed sections, corrugated panels, etc.

INTFOR will use its new pickle line, which features Tenova’s environmentally friendly acid regeneration technology, to produce 900 to 1250 mm wide, 2.0 to 4.0 mm thick pickled carbon steel coils. The pickled coils will feed the facility’s cold mill complex.

Tenova designs and supplies advanced technologies, products and services for the metal and mining industries. Tenova operates close to its customers through a network of 32 companies based on the five continents.
