ThyssenKrupp Anlagenservice to Support Salzgitter Blast Furnace Reline
11/16/2007 - ThyssenKrupp Anlagenservice is commissioned as general contractor for lining the Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH Blast Furnace C in the spring of 2008.
ThyssenKrupp Anlagenservice GmbH has been commissioned as general contractor for lining the Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH Blast Furnace C in the spring of 2008.
The job comprises the clearing of the blast furnace including the draining of the iron sump; mechanical work such as the dismantling and reinstallation of over 1000 cooling elements and the complete skirt; shipments; the dismantling and reinstallation of the hot-blast distribution system (including expansion joints); dismantling and reinstallation of the refractory lining and the hot-blast distribution system; and the partial revamp of the casting shop with slag spout.
The work will require the employment of around 130 mechanics at Salzgitter during a six-week shutdown from April to May 2008.
