U.S. Trade Officials to Pursue Duty Evasion Investigation
11/07/2016 - The U.S. Commerce Department will proceed with investigations into whether Chinese steel producers are circumventing anti-dumping duties by exporting to Vietnam for processing and then exporting it into the U.S., reports The Wall Street Journal.
According The Journal, the investigation will look at cold-rolled steel and corrosion-resistant steel. The investigation comes on a complaint filed in September by several American steel producers.
