voestalpine Appoints New Spokesman

Nikola Donig, 39, has been appointed as the new spokesman of voestalpine AG, effective from September 1, 2010. In this role, Donig will be the main point of contact for media within voestalpine’s group. He succeeds Peter Schiefer.
 
Donig is a graduate of Vienna University of Business and Economics and started his career as a freelance journalist. For several years he worked for the Austrian Broadcasting Corp. ORF, both as a radio and TV editor.
 
At the beginning of 2006, when Austria assumed the presidency of the EU Council, Donig became head of the Communications Department of the Permanent Representation of Austria to the EU. Between 2006 and 2009, he was press officer in the cabinet offices of Federal Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel, Finance Minister Wilhelm Molterer, and Science Minister Johannes Hahn.
